The Greek Society for the Protection of Nature (EEPF), National Operator of the International „Blue Flag“ Programme in our country, announced the awards for beaches, marinas and tourist boats. With 497 awarded beaches, 14 marinas and 6 tourist boats, Greece ranks 2nd in the world out of 47 countries.
The prefecture of Kavala was awarded 12 blue flags (9 in the Prefecture of Kavala and 3 in the Prefecture of Thassos) as follows:
